Her heart dripped blood 

The scent of blood attracts strange creatures

After 11 years of togetherness, they were becoming strangers

The councillor told them to take a vacation

They went to the hills

Unfathomable ocean of loneliness roared in between

Who attacked

Who defended

Who gained, who lost

Change of ownership of land and resources

And display of might at the cost of human lives

And her curves

Like a blind man reads Braille

In darkness

With fingertips

Creases on the bedsheet

Watermarks on beach sand

Signs

Signs of things that were and

Are not, now
