Sana Ameen’s four poems

Whispers of Rain

Raindrops gently fall

Whispers tap on the window

Clouds sing soft and low

The earth drinks the silver drops

Calm returns with every sound.

Whispers in the Mind

I sit quietly,

listening to my thoughts.

Some are heavy,

some are soft.

I do not speak them aloud,

but they stay with me,

teaching me

who I am.

Haiku

Raindrops kiss the earth

Petals lift their scent to sky

Storm’s soft, soothing hushes grief

Delight of Anarkali, Lahore

In Anarkali’s lanes, alive with sound,

Lahore spills colour into the day

spices gleam, fabrics glow,

voices braid the air.

Jalebis curl in syruped gold,

sweetness clinging to the heat,

while footsteps and laughter

flood the narrow street.

Here, the crowd becomes a rhythm,

the market, a living thread

its charm tightly woven

into the heart of the city.
