Christopher Barnes received a Northern Arts Writers’ Award in 1998 and read at Waterstones in 2000 to promote Titles Are Bitches. He debuted at Newcastle’s Morden Tower in 2001 and regularly performed at the Proudwords festival. Mentored by Andy Croft, he engaged in radio, film, and collaborative art projects, with exhibitions at venues including The Hatton Gallery and Betty’s Newcastle. His collection LOVEBITES was published in 2005 by Chanticleer Press. He also performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2003. In 2006, he held a solo art and poetry exhibition at The People’s Theatre.
