Nihar Sapre’s mini album: Veiled Visions of Hampi

Photographer’s Note: I had never visited Hampi before, only hearing tales of its stunning landscapes. Attending a photography workshop led by renowned photographer Indrajit Khambe transformed how I see ordinary objects through extraordinary lenses. The first image, ‘Fisherman at Hampi’ captures a fisherman scrubbing fish on the Tungbhadra River’s banks. Initially unremarkable, patience paid off when a bird passed precisely in the background, freezing time, both metaphorically and literally. The second image, ‘Sacred cow at Hampi’ features a cow, drawn by the mesmerizing texture of its skin and the intricate patterns formed by light and shadow. The third picture, ‘Lonely man at Hampi’ portrays a solitary man in a hill temple window, evoking memories of a lonely friend who passed away too young.
