Somali Mukherjee’s two poems

p style=”line-height: 0.5;”>A Few Counsels

The more I panic,

The more do I fumble;

The balm of music

Saves, but I do stumble.

It takes a lot of hard work

To climb up the summit;

And life must give us all jerk;

Progress has no limit.

It’s natural, quite natural

To fall down, then stand up;

Life can’t be too, too literal;

Finally, we procure the sup.

We must know how to endure;

We need a feather on our cap;

We struggle and we ensure;

We all, we all do face mishap.

Still, we’ll never panic at all;

We are bold and full of beauty;

We can’t solve things unless we fall;

We rise up with our true gaiety.

In Quest of Peace

We lecture, we all do lecture

On how to usher in peace;

Is peace, pure peace a conjecture?

Let’s dream of true divine bliss.

If there exists the centre,

There must be margins, for sure;

Conflicts we can’t banter?

All we have to do is endure?

Yet, it never does mean

That we all are unkind;

Love and Peace cannot be seen;

We are, in fact, humankind.

Why not build up a new world

Where peace will be in plenty?

All enmity must be hurled;

We can generate bounty.

We all do love to lecture;

When should we initiate?

Peace should not be a conjecture;

Right now, let’s motivate.
