Somali Mukherjee’s four small poems

As We Please

Life, a thorny way,

Can make us bleed if we choose;

Ease lets none succeed.

Sound Silence

Keeping mum’s better

Than to bare our heart and then

Regret our folly.

Wrathful Ruthlessness

Wrath leads us nowhere;

Pride, Envy, Wrath—all these are

Constant heartless steps.

Pondering

The more we ponder,

The better we can decide;

Still, don’t overthink.
