The Urge
when the sleepy farmer’s ears
were indulged by the rustlings
of the wind and the pattering
of the rain, did her eyes peel in
anticipation of a bumper harvest?
when she had borrowed books
from the nearby library did
she feel the urge to crawl
back into bed and read
all day long?
