Yasmine Abdel Salam Harmoush’s poem: Cheers for Glory

Oh woe to my heart!!!

From the knight of honor..

It has beauty and originality

How could I not be obsessed with his love?! The hearts of the world miss him..

She is shaken by longing

and responds to the call.

All eyes are looking at him without shame!

I came running to you,

 will you accept Malika?

Her crown is an olive branch..

 Her scent is jasmine…

 And lemon juice…

With the depths of my heart

I will accept “your rice”?

Do not test my deep love

and adoration,

 you will fail to appreciate…

From about a thousand poems and decades…

I tattooed your name on my forehead…

From your clay I made a signature print…

What a song with a sad beat..

Death danced…

On the branch of arrogance..

Army companies in the Bekaa Valley and the Saad Hills…

O wind of the blue sea…

 I carry pieces of despair

 and stubborn illness.

I throw it into the distant horizon.

 I blow in the mud…

“Long live glorious Lebanon.”

 On its walls, Eid shines…

 And the dark night ..

 Embracing a new dawn!
