Moore Ngwenya’s poem: My Morning Brightener

My backyard anchor of freshness.

Whizzed by the blossoming petals of my flowers.

Fragrance falling deep into my nostrils. Reliving an epic feelings of a new day. Paying my ever unending efforts of tilling the soil.

My morning brightener.

Leeks leaking green freshness amplifying the redness of the beetroot leaves.

As the lettuce coils into a ball of crunchy freshness.

While pumpkins pounds the soil with succulent juices.

As the great beans bear endless pots of green beans.

Creating my little view to be a variation of species.

Paying my ever unending efforts of tilling the soil.

Making my hands go Loam with numerous nutrients.

Attaching to my skin in a million particles called soil.

As I relieve my passion for gardening.

Which uprooted all weeds near my morning brightener.
