Kristy Raines’ three poems

Burn Me

Burn me with your touch

The pain reminds me I am still alive

Suffocate me with you Kiss

It is a sweet death and worth the cost

Cut through me with your gaze

So you can see me for who I am

Take away my memory of anyone before you

No memory is more beautiful than yours

Blind me from seeing the future

My dreams are all that I want to see

Bury me with your love

For only Heaven can compete with it.

I wished for you upon a star

I feel like a blooming flower in the rain

when you kiss me tenderly in the morning

Your hand is as gentle as silk touching my skin

and your whispers are like a prayerful song

When I am near you, I sigh like a schoolgirl

I never tire of you holding my hand or

smiling at me when I glance your way

Your heart beats as fast as mine

when you hold me in your arms

Everyday we live another chapter

in the book that our lives have written

And from the beginning of it till the end

It will always be an epic best seller.

You were my first and will be my last,

because life brings only one true love…

And the star that I wished upon brought you to me…

For You are Mine

On every page of your life

I will sign my name

because your heart belongs to me

as with every memory we ever shared

You appear in every poem I write

and in every angelic song that I have

sweetly whispered in your ear

True, is every love story we've lived

My smile is intentional

for you will always be mine

Every heartbeat keeps in time

with the music of our rhythmic nights…

You are my everywhere and my always
