Alshaad Kara’s three poems

Pain of the Night

Puzzle of Destiny

A Guilt in the Heart

Instead of us cuddling,

I find myself fumbling.

All those cushions

And none to call mine.

No matter the warmth,

It does not reciprocate

Same as your warmth.

There is no goodnight

Or a last goodbye.

Not even a kiss

To bid me farewell.

I sleep just like any other

Night of mine,

With an empty desire

To call you mine…

Universe and galaxies

Can just watch

The earth collapse.

Since the earthquake

Shakes my own pain

Into a tornado of unleashed fury.

It is cosmic to admit

That you were behind that art

But I will hide it,

From you,

From the world.

This is important

As

I want to warn

The otherworldly lovers

To look beyond

The interlinking

Of romance

And to forsake

Any uncalled desire.

Living in your shadow

 Does not rub the mistakes

That was made for you.

Only if I knew,

I would have understood the misunderstandings.

I miss you dearly

Like the sun

That sets on your grave.

Having your name engraved

Is an engagement bestowed

By my desire to have you.

It is not noticeable,

But my sudden smile

Thinks of your thoughts.

You would have understood me

And

We would hug each other dearly

Like the sun

That rises in our mornings.
