Ann Privateer‘s poem: Decisions

Not easy for one like me

Tell me what to do

And I'll do it, then you become

The instigator, don't blame me

Just following directions, bam

You could be the president

The leader of the free world

The top dog at the factory

An instigator of lies, or truths

Looking for folks who

Follow directions, so I go it

Alone, on instinct, or what

Worked before because

History does repeat it's self

And every once in a while

I'll jump in there and clear

Things out, it's kind of like

A Spring cleaning of the mind.

Ann Privateer grew up in the Midwest and now lives in California. She is a poet, artist, and photographer. Some of her recent work has appeared in Third Wednesday and Entering to name a few.
